When first approached by Niagara Park Public School in May 2018 we were overwhelmed by the offer from their Student Leadership Team, mentored by Miss Lauren Owen, to fundraise for Tiny Homes Foundation’s endeavours to solve homelessness on the Central Coast.
It was an absolute delight to meet the students and to share with them how we built Australia’s first tiny home project for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, and explain the process of design, planning, construction.
We were further overwhelmed by the incredible generosity of their community, raising an impressive $2870. These funds will help us build our second tiny home project on the Central Coast.
To the students and the Niagara Park community, thank you for raising awareness of homelessness and for believing you can make a difference. The students' social conscious, at such a young age, is to be commended and we wish them all the very best.
